Congratulations to Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad !!! What an awesome record to set for your tourist railroad. Other tourist lines should follow your example, because you folks must be doing things right. Happy 40th Anniversary to you all !!!

The CVSR’s “40th anniversary” is based on the 1972 incorporation of the organization that runs the trains. However, the CVSR did not begin operations until 1975.
Also, the Wheeling & Lake Erie does not own the former B&O track between Akron and Canton. The track is owned by Akron Metro Regional Transit Authority. The W&LE has authority to use portions of the line to provide freight service.

Iut would sure be niceif it could be extended it Cleveland itself, espcially downtown.

They operate the most beautiful and clean consists anywhere. It’s like riding a luxury train of yesteryear, with dome cars, observation car. The trip through the cuyahoga national park is amazing. Following the cuyahoga river, you might see blue herons, bald eagles, deer, wild turkeys and coyote. Totally relaxing and informative as narrated by nat. Park service officer. Yes, they’re successful for 40 years because of the above. Where else can you put your bike on the train for $2, hop on the train and get off any numerous stops and then peddle your bike on the 110mile nature trail that goes to the national park. Try it, you’ll love it.

Craig Sanders got it right.

A beautiful ride with great cars, engines and staff. And the wine trains are outstanding. The staf both onboard and in the national park, make it a pleasure for everyone who takes a ride on the CVSR.
