Trying to find what became of Central Vermont GP9 4542 after the unit became property of Kansas Southwestern (KSW) in 1991. After KSW merged w/Central Ks Ry in 2000, the eng was disposed of with no information on what became of it. Anyone have any leads on this unsolved mystery?
Duane Koss just posted a photo of this unit with disposition details. “This unit would die in the accident near Geneseo, KS on 16 June 1998. Scrapped at Housington, Ks…in 1999.” Koss wrote.
