CV value on Intermountain Gevo

Can anyone tell me what CV controls the volume level on the factory sound for the new Intermountain Gevo’s? I am wanting to cut the volume basically in half; and recomendations on a CV value? Thanks for any help.

What decoder is in that loco? And were there no instructions included?

Not sure on the decoder; whatever is factory and no instructions.

Well, if it is a Tsunami, then here is a link to the Diesel Sound Uers Guide, http://www.soundtraxx.com/manuals/usersguide_diesel.pdf.

Page 62 is the list of CVs. All/many of the sound volumes are independently adjustable. However, CV 128 is the master volume control.

If you would wish to dwelve into the Diesel Technical Manual, http://www.soundtraxx.com/manuals/tsunami_diesel_technical_reference_0213.pdf, you will find on page 71 that CV 128 has a range of 0 to 255, with 255 being the maximum volume level.

Quick Tsunami sound levels setup

• CV 128 = 230 Master Volume
• CV 129 = 255 Horn Volume
• CV 130 = 80 Bell Volume
• CV 131 = 150 Prime Mover Volume
• CV 143 = 50 Channel 14 Mixer (Poppet)
• CV 153 = 7 Equalizer Control
• CV 156 = 165 250Hz Cut/Boost
• CV 157 = 140 500Hz Cut/Boost
• CV 158 = 160 1 KHz Cut/Boost
