i think in the 1970’s not 100 percent though.
The earliest cylindrical types came out in the early 60s. This was an ACF design
that predated their famous ‘Centerflow’ teardrop design. The Atlas models are
representative of these which came with either 3 or 6 outlets-though only 3 bays.
The Canadian version-like Intermountain’s models-came out later-as mentioned,
I, too, believe in the early 70s. These are a 4 bay design.
