Fresh news says the UP has suspended operations near Montello, NV because of a dam break. Does anyone have specific info?

The closure is on the ex-SP line through Ogden, not the ex-WP line through Salt Lake City now used by the Amtrak in western Utah. The service disruptions page on the Amtrak site does not indicate any effect on CZ operations.
I do not think so. The threatened dam in question is the Oroville Dam in CA, not NV.
[Wiki] Groundbreaking on the dam site occurred in May 1957 with the relocation of the Western Pacific Railroad tracks that ran through the Feather River canyon.
Oroville is not the only dam that is being stressed by the weather. The dam being discussed is in Nevada and has failed. It was in the Trains news and can be found in several news outlets including this:
