Landing a German Rail (Deutsche Bahn) contract and expanding into the western European market must be something of a coup for Skoda. They’ve been a big player in eastern and central Europe for a long time, but this puts them in league with western giants like Siemens, Bombardier, Alstom, CAF and the like. It’s not your grandfather’s Europe anymore!
