Nice job, CTT! Really feels like something kids would crowd around in Marshall Fields in the 50’s!

Hi Guys, Great layout!! Try the cows going the other direction… They work better that way as the guides are set up to “funnel” the cows as they move counter clockwise. Plus the ramps should be adjusted so the cow will drop smoothly off the platform into the car, then back onto platform as they exit. Also the cattle car “stopper” bar inside the car that stops the cows from coming out stores some cows inside the car if you go counter clockwise. Simply close the sliding door to keep cows from exiting.
At the same time if you take some sandpaper & rub crosswise on the runways on corral & in car, it gives the runways some tooth for the cow’s fingers to push against. Of course you can see the sanding lines, so on a pristine collector corral, I wouldn’t do that.
Very best, Don Johnson

I run my MTH railking SD70ACe on Lionle fastrack, but I really love the look of this layout! HUM…I think I’ll be focusing more on this look, but I’ll still keep my SD70ace! LOL Thanks CTT for sharing

What can I say that hasn’t already been said above. I too think it brings back some of my child hood and I thank you all for that. It was great to watch and I thank you for sharing it with me, thank you!!! Ron

I actually lived in the early 50’s and had the milk car and cattle car on my layout. Too bad I was only 12 years old and couldn’t afford anything. Now I’m 74 and still can’t afford much. Good Job on this layout. Keep up the good work.

Brings back memories of the good old days of Lionel under Josuha’s guiding hands. Wish it had a matching era train.

AS WITH MOST OF LIONEL’S DISPLAY LAYOUTS THIS INCORPORATES THE MOST ACTION IN THE MINIMUM SPACE. GREAT JOB CTT

This is the prime example of what really exploded the love of toy trains. Lionel toy trains.

They were toys to be played with. Pure fun and enjoyment. Now they seem to want to join the O scale crowd and watch everything crawl along and ho hum, boring stuff.

The old troy trains will always be the best that Lionel ever did. After all where in the world did you find all that workmanship in 1910, 1920 and even 1939.

Lionel… An incredible corporation and now that I am 66, just over 50 years of pure love… Thanks for your videos. They make being a collector/operator a lot more fun…

I THINK THE KIDS WILL ENJOY THIS ONE

I can almost smell the ozone!

excellent job - can you give me any information about the roads and sidewalks?
are they available commercially? thanks

Good job! The layout has come together and looks like it has potential to be a real winner. Congratulations on a spectacular train design and layout.

Very nice video, with the exception of the sis boom bang ting clang bang zoom introductory sounds.
Otherwise enjoyed it !!!

Now that’s FUN!

As always I only get a black screen with a circle going round in the center.

Happy to see you added more scenery details than what the factory would have. I dug out my set from 1955 and am planning on a layout, while still working on my HO and N scale

Many thanks … you’ve given me some ideas for a small layout suitable for visits to children’s hospital so kids can play with the trains and take their minds off other matters at hand. Operating accessories are sure to please, as Lionel’s founding father knew very well.

Great job on the layout , brings back lots of memories

NICE LAYOUT . HAD ALOT OF THE CARS BACK IN 1950. GREAT JOB, FUN TO WATCH.THANKS
