Maybe we can get something going. We used to see D&H 2-bay cars here now and then. They were stenciled “For Ilmenite Service.” The cars I saw usually carried magnetite, a material used in coal preparation. Perhaps this car is one of those with a new paint job? Timeframe was back in the mid 80s.

From what I could dig up on the net.They were used for running crushed glass between Oneonta and Corning.The Bridge Line Historical Society had a arctle about these cars in July 2004.
