I’ve been looking through the magazine index for drawings of a D&RGW class C-28 (standard gauge) locomotive. I’m not sure if I’m not using the right search terms, but I can’t seem to find any results along the lines of what I’m after. Does anyone know if such drawings have been published, or would I be better off writing to the D&RGW Historical Society?
The 1890 Baldwin C-28 drawing is available in a book called RIO GRANDE STEAM LOCOMOTIVES by Donald Heimburger. It was published in 1981 by Heimberger House Publishing Co. Their address is–or was–310 Lathrop Ave, River Forest, IL 60305. If you can find a copy of the book, it’s really invaluable to the Rio Grande steam buff (like me), as it has erection drawings of a great many of the Rio Grande’s standard gauge steam classes.
PS: Oboy, I just saw your Avatar and realized that you’re in Australia. Let me see if I can scan the drawing and download it for you, okay? I’m a little computer challenged, so it may take a while. If so, I’ll post it for you on this thread.
