D27 Lionel Disappearing Train Help

Hi - Attempting to build this layout and have the major woodworking steps figured out from the diagrams. Screen name Pennsylvania Station was here discussing it about a year and a half ago. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Funny when I viewed the topic it was in CTT forum. Then when I logged on it took me to MRR to reply.
