Friday afternoon, rather than the normal assortment of coal loads and empties in the Staples yard, there were four westbounds lined up and looking anxious to head for Dilworth. Even though they were pretty side-lit I had to grab a photo.

Any idea why FOUR trains were just sitting there? Was there flooding problems along the Red River backing up traffic?
“That’s a lotta locos !” Quite an intimidating “Front Four” you’ve got there.
Too bad that they didn’t have some lights on - that would liven up the photo some. But I know you can’t always be picky about aspects such as that - and this photo is much, much better than no photo at all.
