It seems a lovely layout. Too much coffee though for the cameraman. Makes it very hard to watch. Could you re-shoot?

has the cameraman got the d ts

Great layout. I have a cousin living in San Ramon,Ca. and I
have to tell him about this. Again great job.

What a great layout. I would like to see more of the overall trackplan. The motive power is fantastic. We need to see more of this with backed-off view rather than close-ups. Thanks for posting.

A masterpiece! Like some of the others, I wish the camera work had been more steady. Even so, I enjoyed this immensely. I nominate this layout to be featured in MR (if it hasn’t been already). How about including this road in the video series about great American layouts.

The layout looks fabulous, but the camera man should be drawn and quartered. Why didn’t he/she (heaven forbid) preview a run so that the action of the engines could be seen? The layout is a 5+, the camera work is a 0-.

From what we can see, it’s truly unique and beautiful modeling. Video needed more light for smaller aperture for better depth-of-field, and for heaven’s sake, a tripod. Kept waiting for the camera to light SOMEWHERE…

Beautiful layout, shame I couldn’t watch the video. The camera work gave me a headache in about 2 minutes. Suggest you reshoot with a differnet camera person.

I agree with all the aforementioned comments. Great layout but the camera movements make it difficult to follow.

really some fine modeling

Nice layout, but I had to stop watching - getting seasick! Pls. suggest to your contributors that they use a fluid-head tripod or at least a monopod. And less quick zooming!

Sure put a lot of work and steady effort into this
layout, I can not imagine the amount that you have spent on it, and it looks detailed. Very well done Mr. Railway Man. Give you **** stars.

Camera work is terrible!

Shoot the cameraman. I viewed both segments (about 25 minutes) and he was remarkably consistent in his super fast pans, eye aching zooms in and out and mostly unfocused close-ups. What I could see, of Dave’s layout, was very well done. What I could not see was very much in the way of operations, especially in segment #2, due to all the close-ups. Over all a nice 1920’s layout. (Ratings: 5 stars for layout; 1 star for camera work; over all 4 stars.) P.D.E. Aston, Pa.

wonderful detail but a tripod would really assist in the camera work.

Terrible camera work. No doubt this is a fine layout, but the film doesn’t let us see or appreciate it.

Very nice layout but…first time with a new camera?? Would like to see a better video of this!

What a great looking layout, at least from what I could see. The videography is a tour-de-force of what not to do.

Great layout—camera work could have presented this layout in a more positive vane if it were held steady versus jumping all over the place.
