i think it looks good.it’s certainly looks different than mine,as i ballast a different way.to be truthful his ballasted track looks much better than mine.im going to try his technique on a small portion of my layout and see what happens.
Where is this method you ar referring to? Im always wanting to learn more.

I don’t know who wrote it but in the Dec issue they have a great looking techinique for ballast and painting the rails. (I just checked, it was Dave Popp) I will have to check on Dave Methlie’s method. I am at the ballasting stage right now.
methlie’s technique was in the feb 06 issue.missed poop’s technique.its just around 7 am here and im on the first cup of coffee…not quite awake yet.
