As quoted from a member( Who is an employee of BNSF) on another board. There is alot of talk going around that Gunn might quit Amtrak, because of the Mail Contract being Lost.

From the outside looking in I hope the words of M.W. Hemphill are the correct ones regarding Amtrak and Mr. Gunn’s desire to stay and try to keep the system up and running. From what we can read out here I wonder where another fellow could be found to do the job he seems to be doing. Liked the way he stands up for what he believes to be right for the system during hearings in front of Congress, etc…and all the rest of it. I believe Amtrak would be in much worse shape if Mr. Gunn was not the person at the controls…
If Dave Gunn were to leave Amtrak, I would be very surprised if it was over an issue on the mail and express business. I don’t think I have seen any Amtrak opponents with a significant voice criticize the decision to get out that business.
