Thank you for the very thoughtful interview with Mr. Plowden. His photographs and feelings about railroading are a perfect example of what makes Trains magazine so enjoyable to read.
A great interview with a truly insightful gentleman that has shared his love for trains through his talented eye. The photos of his that Trains has shared over the years always tell a story, they take you to the spot where you can feel the heat of steam, feel the strength of the men guiding the machines and see the creativity of those that built an amazing industry that has served our great country well. Thank you Mr. Plowden!
Thank you, Trains, for a delightful interview. Mr. Plowden has provided us with wonderful pictures of a vanishing part of America. I love his bridge pictures and the deep rich tones that show the value of black and white in a color world… A great artist.
This is but one example of why I keep and will continue to keep my subscription to Trains. People like Jim Wrinn and David Popp are masters at bringing insightful and educational material to us, be it the railroad industry or modeling that industry!
