does anyone have the new atlas dc quantum sound equipped locos? if you do how is the diesel sound?
I have only heard one Atlas, but I have heard plenty of Broadway Limited, which uses the same system. I personally like it. I am sure, everyone will have an opinion, some will say it the best, others will say its junk and should rip it out and replace it with a bigger wathcamajiggy.
I figure this is a good balnket statement that most will agree on…
In this current day and age of all the new sound options out there, everyone haveing their own opinions, I would say QSI equippet loco’s would rank about a B+. Not the best, but for out of the box easy operation, its great. I have sevearl QSI powered engines, and they still make me smile everytime I hit the horn [:D]
I have 4 Atlas and 2 Broadway Limiteds and love them. They are picky about your track and will find your imperfections that other locomotives are more forgiving of but they bring a new level or realism. I am sure over time they will get even better.
Have Atlas, BLI, and Proto 2000 sound equiped…are are great…please note that we had to upgrade our power to accomidate all that amp draw but now all going really nice…Tom
