Have 8 or 9 Bachmann steam, mostly 2-4-2,where can i find info on a tune up and insstallation of DCC?

2-4-2? I am sure you mean 4-8-4 Northerns.

How well do they run on DC? Remember, running anything on DCC wont automatically make them run any better.

Are these the really cheap Bachmann toy train set engines or the better Spectrum models? That is going to make a world of difference in whether or not they can be or are worth trying to convert to DCC.

If they’re the cheap Bachmann toy train locomotives a decoder would cost more than any of them are worth.
