Some of you have had difficulty navigating the Litcfileld Station website. [:(!]

Very good shots and some info on what was used on the locomotives pictured. BTW: Scroll down to the Kato C44-9W Santa Fe locomotive. Go over to the right side where the paragragh is explaining about this particular locomotive. At the end of the paragraph you’ll see "To see a DCC install on this loco CLICK HERE. If you click on this, another page will open up showing more installs. On top of the page is an SD40 with sound installed. [;)]

You can also click on the rectangular boxes on the top of the page and check out N scale and Steam locomotive installations as well as just straight DCC without sound.

That’s really great! Thanks. Question, though: When you say “Sheet styrene is used to make the loco an infinite port speaker enclosure.” - what does that mean? What is an “infinite port speaker enclosure”?

Another question about mounting speakers - I’ve seen info that says that you need an airtight enclosure over the speaker - is that in BACK of the speaker, or between the front of the speaker and the surface with holes in it where the sound “exits”?

Any help would be appreciated.

Have to be honest, I’m new to DCC and learning the ropes. I’m currently “tweaking” my locomotives in prepartion for DCC/Sound. [:p][8D][8)]

Go ahead and e-mail Bruce, as I suggested before. He does reply and is quite helpful.
