DCC Decoder for a Athearn AC4400

Hello,

What decoder would be compatible with this engine (Athearn RTR AC400). Im not interested in Tsunami sound or anything. Just plain 8 pin DCC decoder.

There are many, this is just one example.

Digitrax DH123D, DH163D, DZ123PS, DZ125PS. There are other examples from Lenz, NCE, TCS and the like.

There are countless decoders that will fit, as long as they have a9 or 8 pin interface. Just remember to remove the 9 pin JST dummy plug from the loco if you want to use an 8 pin decoder.

If its the DCC quick plug model I’d recommend the Digitrax DH line of decoders - they’ve traded me very well…
