I would like to add sound to my HO Stewart F7.
Are QSI decoders available for sale?
Are there any other DCC decoders available that will also run on straight DC like QSI?

Soundtraxx Tsunami decoders will run on DC

MRC probably will too.
I don’t think QSI have started selling theirs separately yet.
Ken.
No the QSI are not yet available. Who knows when? http://www.qsisolutions.com/products/q-revolution.html
Neither are the Digitrax sound decoders.
A few months back it seemed like we were going to have a wonderful array of sound decoders to choose from. Tsunami is out but only in steam. QSI was announced with great fanfare and was exhibited at the National Train Show by the then new distributor Sounds Like Trains. SLT has vanished and the decoders have not shown up. Digitrax also made a big splash and continue to do so with advertising but no indication of actual availability.
ESU loksound and MRC have made it to market with their sound decoders, so they may be worth checking out.
The LokSound decoders will run on DC. I tried it with one of mine yesterday. The sound is really good, too.
Thanks for the info guys.
Next question…
Will Loksound or MRC work with the Atlas Quantum Engineer Add-on Control System in analog mode?
The Quantum Engineer was developed for the QSI decoders and certainly works with the different manufacturers that have then installed (p2K, Atlas, BLI) but I think it is specific to the QSI decoders. I would put a call into Tonys Train Exchange, they have a lot of info on the ESU decoders and would perhpas have 1st hand experience of this.
