DCC engine problem - Pls. help

I have Command 2000 DCC (MRC),a proto 2000 loco w Digitrax decoder (all has been running fine), suddenly this loco started running on its own (throttle on off). It is programed on the walk around throttle, and even with the throttle set to the wrong “group” it takes off… with the walkaround unplugged it runs. No other locos have this problem - but they are all programed on the main command center. This is the only loco on the walkaround. Is this the loco, the decoder or the Command 2000??? Is there anything to do other than send (which ever) back to manufacturer??

thanks

ken

Try to reprograming it,to the main command center, and try a different loco on the walk around.

Ken:

Could be a bad DH121. Digitrax had a bad run a while ago. What you explain can be one of the problem children… Pull it out and mail it to Digitrax with a letter explaning your problem. They will most likely just ship you a brand new decoder.

I have the same problem with a Spectrum loco. It just took off. The shipping cost is more than the decoder from my neck of the woods.

I have a similar problem inside a Spectrum loco. It just simplt took off and whatever we tried, nothing helped. I dispatched it while it was running and then selected it again. Actually did it three times and then gained control of it so I could stop it. Somehow it lasts for five or six sessions and stsrt again.
