I have a lighted brass waycar and the light works running with DC but not with DCC. Its not burned out because after running on DCC it will light on my brother’s DC layout. Can anyone explain this? How can I fix this?

That doesn’t make sense. Because DCC puts a constant voltage on the track, it should light better from DCC than DC. The only possible explanation I can think of is that there is some type of electronic overload circuit inside the car that is shutting off to prevent the bulb from burning out from too high a voltage.

Or it has some sort of constant lighting circuit that will not function properly with an AC input.
