What can you do for a reverse loop? to make it work? I seem to remember that there is something that makes this operation automatic? If so, what is it and where can I get it? Are they expensive? and how does it hook up?
Several manufacturers make reversers. I like the one from Tony’s Trains, www.tonystrains.com because it is all solid-state (no clicking relays) and works very reliably. Basically, you just isolate the reversing section just like you would in DC, and then wire it through the reverser. The unit does the rest. The PSRev is now $45.
I got one an it works great you just insulate a section of track long enuff to hold your longest train hook the feeders in one end and back out the other and works great .
Yes! the PS-REV from Tonys is the best! Wow! So simple to hook up…and it works like a charm…and I was actually scared to hook up my reverse loop section because I didnt want to have something get fried…but nope, it works great!
Great product! Get the PS-1 for your mainline and the PS-REV for the reverse loop area. Remember to insulate (both rails) on each side of the reverse section.
