There has been a lot of discussion about DCC on the forums lately and I’m curious now about the options for DCC-enabled signalling systems (i.e., systems that use DCC-based block detection in coordination with signals and switches). I know Digitrax has a system. What are the other alternatives and how do they compare?

The Digitrax system needs a computer with software to do the logic(read the detection/change the approriate signal to the correct inducation). Logic Rail and Ataras both have ‘stand-alone’ systems that include the logic to drive the signals, and can be used with the Digitrax system or a computer interface.
One thing you will find in common with all of these systems is that a working signal system is going to be expensive! Here are some URL’s:
