I’m looking at buying a BLI SW 7 with sound. Seems to me someone back a few weeks ago said this loco will not pull well - or was it the NW2?? Does anyone have a similar loco that was made by someone else than BLI? I’d like to hear many thanks

Jim,

I remember reading the same post. I thought someone said around 7 cars. The thing to keep in mind is that yard\ switchers only moved a few cars MAX at a time. I have a Stewart Baldwin VO-660 switcher that will pull at least 20 cars. My P2K Alco S1 switcher will pull somewhere between 15-20 cars. Neither, however, are equipped with sound.

The president of our train club has an SW7, he tows 10 cars up the helix with it. I can’t picture it not being able to do 15-20 cars in the yard.

I plan on getting one from TrainWorld this summer.
