I have an older tsunami decoder from the early 2000 like 2005 or 6. My guess would be somewhere around there. It is a heavy articulated sound file and has one of the n&w hooter whistle sounds too it. I installed it but cannot figure out how to program the automatic chuff withoit having to hook up acam system. What cvs will have to be used and what values. Any help will be appreciated!
I don’t know about older versions but newer ones require a value of 0 to CV112 to enable auto exhaust chuff. Then,if you want the dual air pump sound, add 1.For an articulated loco, add a value of 64 to CV112.
If you go to the Soundtraxx website, the Tsunami instructions are there online. There’s a page in the manual that lists the CVs with a few words as to what they do. One of them is called something like “Chuff Rate” which controls the chuffs
If this is pre-2006, it won’t be a Tsunami. It will be a DSD 100-LC or another version.
Find the manual here, and you can get your answer:
