I have installed an NCE silent decoder in a diesel. The problem I have is one speed, fast. Another decoder works but I have no control over it. Does any out there know how to correct these problems.

Try changing CV29 to a value of “34”. This turns off the DC mode of a dual (DC/DCC) decoder so that it will only operate on DCC. I had to do this with one of my locomotives and it took care of the problem.

I have had that happen now and then when I installed a decoder, I use mostly Digitrax, so what I do now is do a reset of the decoder first thing. But I got to say, it is funny to see a engine go supersonic on the first click of the throttle
