DCC Video

Im trying to see what dcc looks and sounds like via video but i cant find any, i know there was a video of a up sd40 or dash 9 or something like that and all the video was was of the start up and it was nice but now i can find it plz help.

Well, DCC looks like square-wave AC, and sounds like your speaker is blown out. (Sorry, couldn’t help myself! [:D][:D])

Seriously, if you want to see what the sets, components, decoders, etc. look like, just visit the manufacturer’s Web sites.

If you want to see what an installed decoder looks like, those manufacturer’s Web sites are again a good place to start. You can also Google “xxxx dcc decoder install” (without the quotes), where xxxx is the brand/model of loco or decoder you’re interested in. You’ll get lots of hits.

But you mentioned video and a Dash 9, so I think this may be what you’re looking for:
http://www.thetrainshow.com/videos/Digitrax%20Sound%20Decoder%20for%20conversion-1.wmv

It’s a big clip (22 Mb) so if you have dialup it’ll take a while to download

This guy knows DCC! Listen to him. He also has a couple DVD’s on DCC too.
