I’ve used both variable channels on the TIU for adding track for conventional locomotives. Is there a way to convert the last remaining fixed channel to varialbe so a person can add that also as a track add? or am I missing something as far as using the fixed channel for conventional locomotives? The fix channels cannot be reprogrammed, they will only operate as fix voltage. The two variable channels can be reprogrammed to fix.
If you wish to run conventional engines on a fix channel, then you will have to adjust the transformer voltage, as if you were operating without DCS.
