Stan.

Wow! So well cared for, too. You know how susceptible white metal is to temperature and humidity changes and fine wire to dampness and then there’s electro galvanic corrosion…thank heavens its kept in a climate controlled, secure facility.

What is interesting is that he has pretty good feedback and over 7500 items sold. Wierd.

This location is only about 15 minutes from my house. I believe this guy used to have a shop in Downers Grove, IL about 20 years ago that sold used Lionel stuff. He seemed like a pretty good guy, but the store disappeared. With this type of merchandise, you would think he would hire a competent auction house in order to get the maximum dollars. This is TOO weird.

Isnt that near Argon Labs? I think that location is where the mob used to dump bodies after they were “done wit 'em”. Maybe there’s more in those shipping cartons than train parts!

Route 83 and I-55 is only minutes away from me too.

Hmmm only 200K for parts that no one can actually see, does that include the shed and the property it’s sitting on [:D] [:D]

In his defense, I’ve bought parts from him before (think he was in Clarendon Hills) they were as stated.

I have bought some parts from him as well, I do think his service is a bit to be desired though. Sent him an e-mail requesting some parts a year ago still have not heard back from him. Iterresting that he only want 2k for an over a mill in invintory that only he knows what he has but not willing to share. I have a hard enough time trying to keep a small cabinet inventory organized but at least I have a list.

I am going to try to drive by the location today. It will be interesting to see if the property really looks like it does in the picture.
