I can tell from the various responses that many of you deal with ebay. I did too until I became involved in a dispute with a seller. It seems that ebay automatically takes the sellers side without considering the buyer’s input. I have tried unsuccessfully for a month to contact them via their “contact us” selection but can’t get a response. Anyone have any ideas?
By the way, this all started when my wife won a bid for a 99 cent cross stitch pattern. The seller wanted $29.95 to ship it. When we contacted the seller about the exorbitant shipping charges they claim the bid was for a whole case of the darn things, even though their ad made no mention of this.
I am a seller on eBay and have earned POWERSELLER status several times, so I am well-versed with what you have encountered. There is a phone number for eBay that you can call to speak to a real person and there is a site called SQUARETRADE.COM that will help you resolve your problems. I wish you good luck with your problems.
thank you, Amtrak Jack, for your response.I was beginnng to think I was the only buyer to encounter this problem. Can you give me that phone number? If you’d rather not post it here you can email me at baberuth73@alltel.net.
My wife is involved in a lot of stitiching stuff, so I will ask her about the costs of shipping.
Hey Amtrak Jack, that squaretrade.com just wants to beat me out of 20 bucks. Can you please give me that phone number for ebay, I’d rather try to deal directly with them.
