I have really missed hearing from you. You know, we used to correspond quite frequently through that Trains Forum thingie.
We had such fun - grilling, swilling and chilling. We rode engines, cabooseseses, did a little flat-foot work, and hung out in crummy diners.
We laid track, stuck signals in holes, and stood next to crossing arms. It was so romantic.
We suffered blisters from setting people on fire and from the return flame-throwing.
We laughed, we snickered, we howled, but we never backed down from a good argument.
We commented on trains, boats and planes and everyone had a good time.
But you went away I know not where. And you left a lot of your fans here on the forum wondering if you will ever come back.
You need to come back, Dan. I have pulled every feather out of Mudchicken, chopped on Tree until he is only 4 feet tall, done everything in the diner but burn it to the ground, threw my tiara in a drawer and have begged Houston Ed to form a posse and look for you.
I will even plead your case with your XO to get your puter back!
I also miss Dan’s presents here. I would send out a posse myself but I wouldn’t know where to send them. LA is a big place. If his wife reads Mookies post he might not ever be allowed back on the puter.[:O]
Mookie, Reading you’re post was like rideing a wave of emotions. I laughed, I cried. Better then the last movie I saw. Have you considered getting published?[;)]
Boy I think this is the first time I have ever heard of a Dear Dan, I guess John was nowhere to be found. Mook I think mudchicken is right, If this is the same guy I’m thinking about then hes in the military. I think its navy. Might be wrong though… Hard to keep up with people here on the fourm.
No worries, mate…well, Mookie was worried (if you want to call it that!)
Just missing the dry wit, and quick sense of humor…this place has been very, very dull for a while…bean counters can only hold an intelligent conversation for so long!
