What is a really good decal paper That will work with a canon i9100 photoprinter? I found the micromark stuff works but is there something better? Thinner? Has some body figured out how to print a light color like yellow. With using white decal paper?
I need to print out new decals since the old ones have been almost used up. Thought i would ask before doing that just to see what is new
I’ve had very good luck with Bel Decal. They have white and light blue backing. I stock both. They also have inkjet and laser paper, the inkjet paper does good on my HP PhotoSmart printers and the laser paper works great on my Alps. I have a cheapie Lexmark inkjet and it works but the HPs are much better.
One way to succeed with yellow decals is to print the sheet twice – once in white and once in yellow. If your decals aren’t too thick or stiff, you can double-decal the yellow over a white background.
A few years back, there was a shortage of decal paper and none of the retail or online outfits had any. I bought a package from decalpaper.com. It was inkjet and worked well.
I’ve been using Bel clear decal papers for 10 years on a high level HP 3200 series ink jet with 6 color cartridges and now on a Canon Pixma 9200 series with 5 color cartridges. When it comes to red orange or yellow decals, they work best on a white painted surface in my experience.
