Decal Printing Problems

I’m printing graphics on Experts-Choice #119 White Decal Paper for inkjet printers. The custom graphics are printing fine, but the blue logo on the backing paper has bled through somehow into the decal film and therefore spoiled the graphics. I’ve tried 3 fresh sheets, same results. Tried it on #121 Clear Paper, no bleed through, no problems. Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions? Thanks.

A simple solution - use a laser printer.

You can’t use an ink-jet decal paper in a laser printer. For that you must purchase laser decal paper. Laser printers use heat that will destroy the special film on the ink-jet paper. My only suggestion will be: 1. Try another printer or even try a Hi-Res plotter. 2. Try onther brand of decal paper, I’ve never had problems with the white one from testors.

How are you sealing the decal? My guess is, the sealer is reacting with the paper.

Still, this shouldn’t happen. I’d return the paper and get another brand. Why would anyone put a label on the white background, anyway?
