decals for a NYC niagara steam4-8-4

Hi,I´m Christian from Germany,

who makes decals in HO exspecially the classify letters(under the number S1a or S1b)for a niagara steam engine? Microscale has no such numbers on there decal-sheet.

Thanks for answer!

Christian

Check with champ decals’ sounds like the set/sets you need are EH-10 or EH-210

An alternative if you have some, would be to grab some small letters and/or numbers from a frt car set’s dimensional data

Christian,

I should have the Champ Decals at home also. I will try to remember to look at them today. I am back at work, so I will reply in 18 hours or so If I remember to look at them.

Christian,

Hi, well I am home. I have checked out my Champ decals as well, and just as I suspected, no class numbers there. The other thought is that you could get a Microscale set for a diesel engine that has the class numbers and piece togeather a class number from the diesel set. A set such as MC-4004 New York Central EMD and Baldwin Diesel Switchers (1950+) does have class numbers such as DES-1b. You could eliminate the DE and get what you want. The sets I have are $2.25, but that price is several years old, and I am not sure what the cost would be where you are at. Several of the sets that I have are missing those class numbers so I am sure some of my steamers have them on them. Hope this works for you. It still will require work and patience, but each set has several class numbers that should work for your purposes.
