Does anyone know where I can find some pictures of decommissioned (out of service) engines with the black strips, especially an F7? Also, does anyone know who would carry decals like this?
What black strips?
Most retired engines have a white stripe painted over the engine number of road name. Just get white or black stripe decals (Microscale) and put them over weathered units. Or use s thin brush of a fine air brush spray to paint a line. Its not a precision job, normally just a guy with a spray can or a bucket of paint.
