Defective Heljan Transfer Table

Heljan customer service?

I just got the Heljan HO Transfer Table about two months ago, it seemed to work OK, But I didn’t even use it much. But now it’s completely jacked up.

It’s really flakey, I tried to reset it and when I selected RES from the panel, and it just flashes and doesn’t respond. Same thing when I select DEL, it just flashes.

I bought this at Caboose Hobbies and I probably can’t return it because it’s been over 30 days.

Has anyone ever delt with Heljan? They’re in Denmark and their website has no information for technical support. But I did just send them an email about the problems.

Heljan customer service is a virtue non existing! I had a claim once, missing detail parts, and I never ever received an answer to my e-mail.

Heljan fully relies on their dealers/importers for customer service, so you will have to revert to the source where you bought it from.

So should I contact Walthers then? I’ll call them in the morning and see what they say.

OK I called Walther’s and they aggreed it’s faulty, so I’m sending it in for replacement/repair.

I’ll let you know when I get it back.

Damn thing was $300, I’m a little irritated.

And the real kick in the butt is they had it on sale a couple of months back for $200. I haven’t taken mine out of the box yet glad you mentioned the propblem

Ahhhh geeez I know, it’s on sale for $229 now. (actually I paid $275 + tax). But anyways, I would get yours out of the box and test it make sure it runs ok. Weird thing is, problems didn’t show up till now, but I only used it very little.

Yeah well that happens to me after everything is finished ,sceniced painted etc. then it decides to take a dump. I had to do a double take when I checked Walthers online catalog one day and saw it for $199.99

I liked it but wasn’t going to pay the price for one until I saw it on sale maybe know I know why…
