$53 million for 1.5 miles seems pretty steep…Is there significant land acquisition involved?
That portion into Delaware may be elevated. It is in center city Wilmington where the Amtrak station is and likley may account for the high cost.
$53 million for only 1.5 miles of track ??? Sounds awfully expensive to me.
I hope that is typo and that 1.5 miles of track won’t cost $53 million. If is does cost that much, it bet not ever need maintenance, I mean never ever need maintenance!!!
