Great pictures…my father took my brother and I on one of the last of the Albany-Binghamton trains in early 1963 to Oneonta, NY (where my mother was waiting to take us back to Albany). Interesting, the track layout in Rouses Point was the same when I qualified Albany-Montreal in 1986. The track on right is the Runner for switching the yard, the middle track is controlled siding to CPC 188 and the train is standing on Mainline near station. Today only main track (with switch just north of station to CNR Rouses Point Sub off CPR’s own RSP sub north to Montreal) is in place. I hired on Penn Central and never in my wildest dreams thought I would retire as Amtrak Conductor off the Montreal run…but I did, 12/2010.
