Hi Everyone,
I posted earlier in January that several of my issues had been delayed, or missing all together. I contacted FireCrown and after a few back-and-forth emails, they said “sorry about that” and sent me a missing issue. However, since then, things have not gotten better. I finally got the April issue about 2 weeks ago, but May and June still have not arrived. Under Kalmbach, I would normally receive them at least 1 month before the cover month (Date printed on the cover).
I should also clarify that we had a postal strike in Canada late last year, but that backlog seems to have cleared up. All my bills and other correspondence is getting through in a reasonable amount of time. It only seems that the mail I actually want (MR) doesn’t show up regularly anymore.
Has anyone else, either in the USA or Canada had this problem, either since the Canadian postal strike (if you’re in Canada), or in the USA since Firecrown took over?

Im dealing with a similar issue, I ended up getting the MR June 2025 Issue rather than the Trains June 2025 issue and im missing the Trains May 2025 and August 2024 issues
Not sure what’s going on with their magazines but my order from their shop came pretty quickly. I ordered an MR&T boxcar on either Tuesday or Wednesday, and it got here today.
Well, no, I have not had any problems. I live in the states, Maryland to be specific. I don’t know where the magazines are printed or mailed from. But I have May and June laying right here in my office.
Over the years, the post office has lost a few, and they were always replaced in a timely manner by Kalmbach.
Honestly, I have never kept track of the “exact day” they arrive, I’m a bit busy for that.
I have been a subscriber to Model Railroader for a long time… Since 1968, and I still have them all to prove it.
I have gotten four orders from the Firecrown store in the last few months. All arrived in a very timely manner.
The only other mag I get from them is Classic Trains. And that too, don’t ask me when it comes, it gets here when it gets here. But I know none of them are missing.
