Deluxe Innovation's N scale RoadRailers?

I have recently placed an order for a Norfolk Southern SD-50 in N scale. And I thought, what better way to use it, than to make a RoadRailer train? So, I was cruising the Deluxe Innovations website, looking at the road railer info. They seem pretty simple to use and run. The detail parts also look easy to add.

Does anyone have these, and can reccomend them? Any thoughts on them quality wise? Are they worth the price?

Does anyone else make them?

I’ve seen them in action on a friend’s layout, they seemed smooth runners and he didn’t have any derailment problems despite sharp curves and a lot of switches. They look pretty good as a consist too. The impression I get (from having looked at the packaging - I would have bought a few if my LHS had had them and not just the “coupler mate”) is that they may need some assembly of the pivots and couplers between the trailers, but so long as this is done carefully and accurately they’ll behave properly. I’m not aware of any other manufacturer offering them in N scale.

Awesome, the sharp curve and switch information is good to know.

Thanks Railroading Brit.
