Just looking for some opinions here. I usually buy Microtrains rolling stock because of great detail and quality, but as you all know you cannot get everything you want.
What about deLuxe Innovation stuff?? I want stuff similar in quality as Microtrains (think fine quality stirrups) great paint job and couplers that work.
I want woodchip cars and container cars.
Will deLuxe fill the bill?? I know when ordering with them I have the choice of Atlas accumate couplers (NC) or extra for microtrains couplers. I do not have a LHS nearby to see this stuff, so can I safely order this and be happy??? Will accumate couplers work well with microtrains or should I just get microtrains couplers.
Thanks guys

Di cars are pretty much as nice as MT’s. The paint jobs are slightly better on MT’s, but they have the best paint and lettering in the scale. Spring for the MT couplers; N scale Accumates don’t work well with MT’s, and they stick out too far.
And in case you’re wondering, Intermountain and Red Caboose N scale cars look good beside MT cars too.
Thanks for tip
I’m just checking ebay right now and there is some really cheap deLuxe SP chip cars. A six pack for $26 bucks with an hour to go Hmmmmm!!

We built anN scale layout a few years ago for charity raffle and I got a DI well car set. I must admit they were very nice, ran good, almost convinced me to switch from HO to N.

I bought about 12 of the Di woodchip hoppers a few months ago. I got them with the atlas couplers. The cars themselves were of quality about the same as MT, but the trucks on 9 of the cars were horrible. The trucks were warped slightly which caused major coupling problems. I contacted DI to get replacement trucks, and they were no help at all. They refused to replace them etc. The store I bought them from also refused. I still have the cars, just had to buy my own replacement trucks. I won’t buy DI cars anymore though. So just check them out before you pay for them.
