Deluxe Innovations

Hi, has any one any experience of models by Deluxe Innovations; and what is the quality like compared to other manufacturers like Atlas etc.

Shaun

I have several sets of the DI Twin stack 5 unit cars and several 10 car sets of the Roadrailers in N Scale. All are finely detailed and superior runners. The details on the Twin stacks are very fine and border on too fragile. An example: stainless mesh for decking and wire grabs on the DI Twin stack as opposed to plastic on the Kato Maxi’s. I also have some of the 2 bay covered hoppers from a few years ago, these are lacking in the fine detail of their later projects. I have not seen any of their other offerings.

Of the items that I have; all compare favorably to anything from Atlas, Kato or Intermountain of the same or later vintage. In most cases they are superior in all aspects except price, but you get what you pay for.

I have a set of their Triple Crown Road railers, And I can’t wait to get more. They are excelent cars. I have run a coal train that was mostly DI bethgons and they ran great. They are expensive But well worth the money. I think they are every bit as good as atlas and better in many cases. Same goes with Kato, They’re just as good or better than Kato.

Hi and thanks, I was just worried at the price and I wanted to get a decent model for those sort of prices.
