Demolition of Asheville roundhouse begins
I’m part of a model railroad club that models the line from Salisbury/Spencer to Asheville, and while we don’t have a roundhouse in Asheville, it’s nonetheless sad to see another historic building lost to the wrecking ball.
How sad this can’t be rebuilt for posterity, you don’t have many roundhouses anymore, and after it’s gone, it’s gone.
Oh well least in not in Frankfort
I’m just glad I had a chance to take some photos of the Asheville roundhouse when I visited my niece back in June. It’s still sad that it had to be demolished.
