Denver's Union Station Rebuild (moved from Passenger Forum)

Someone suggested that I post this here, instead of in the “Passenger” section where it was…

A couple of weeks ago I had to do some work in Denver’s Union Station, which is being rebuilt as a transportation hub/boutique hotel. Information is available here - http://www.denverunionstation.org.

I had a chance to wander all over the now-empty structure, but I was so fascinated I only thought to grab a few photographs.

Most of these have been covered over with plywood or drywall for years. Amtrak used the center one before they moved to their temporary station.

Interesting photos of the Denver Station…Hope it is returned to retain some of the quaint RR features we are familiar with in the great stations of yesteryear…

Too bad you didn’t get to the basement and see the HO club that got evicted after 30+ years. Haven’t heard about the O club that’s been there for almost 80 years.
