Designing a wye with maerklin C-track

I am designing a layout with maerklin C-track. I would like to incorporate a wye to turn the locos, but I can’t get the track to fit. Unfortunatley I also have a space problem so I cannot use too many track pieces. Does anyone know where I could get hold of a trackplan or has some ideas.
I would be most grateful for any help.

Hi Kessi. Sorry it has taken a year for someone to reply to your question. [:(]

I do not have information specifically dealing with Marklin track. However, just to give you some ideas, have you been to the Atlas web site? http://www.atlasrr.com/.

Go there and select the “LAYOUTS” tab. Click on the HO Scale. Then choose "HO Code 100 / Code 83 Layout Gallery. Take a look at track plan HO-10019. It is a corner shelf layout with a turning wye. It is limited to the size of the locomotive and car size.

Tell us about your locomotive and wagons. What do you think your railroad should be?

Hi Gary. Thanks for your response.
I have since given up on using a wye. Marklin C track is really great but it does need lots of space to come to its full potential.
Because the area I have available for my layout is only 5.2 ft by 3.9 ft, I redesigned at least a million times. I ended up with an outer run-around track and switching yards in the centre.
My railroad is called the Shoveaway RR because it comes apart in 2 halves and folds up like a box with a lid and then I shove it under a bed. That makes wiring the turnouts and decouplers a bit tricky. I am nowhere near finished but I suppose one never is.
I am working towards a logging and mining layout. At this stage I will not be able to have a prototype railroad as my locos and wagons are too much of a mixed bag.

Glad to hear from you Kessi. I thought you might have given up on us.
The very first layout I made was for my niece’s son and it too was a two part (4’ x 8’) that folded up. That must have been 15 years ago.
You’re not alone when it comes to redesigning a layout over and over. It’s a very big club. Nearly everyone says the same thing about plans not fitting the space.
Have you seen the Micro Layout web site? (click on the highlighted words for the link)
I’m courious about how you got started with model trains. How did you get model railroaders feaver?
Is there anyone working with you on this project?
