Desktop wallpaper from the June 2011 Model Railroader

Since i live in NM this layout remines me of my back yard. Thanks!

Ive never been close to such a long train, with 4 power plants up front, we dont have much of that kind of railroading in Australia. But I can imagine the thump of the 4 diesels and the squeel of flanges grinding round the bend. Bob has nicely captured the feeling of bright light and desert heat too.

After viewing the June wallpaper , which is fantastic , I had to go for a cold drink ! That is some very dry looking country side , nice job ! Jim

I had to make one more comment about a super layout and pic , I would have loved to seen the front cover shot in the wallpaper also , the Waldo Station and Cattle Pins , the old Dodge 4 door and those handsome War Bonnet F’s Grinding out their horsepower is such a sight , totally top notch !! Jim

It’s great, dont know what else to say. Just starting out, still reading books and looking at magazines trying to figure out what I want to do. Narrowed it down to HO scale. Just cant figure out what theme I want. Maybe this will help!!!

very nice desktop picture

@Trent Kohl: If you enter “wallpaper” in the SEARCH THIS SITE widget in the top right corner, then you’ll return a list of available wallpaper to download. I don’t know whether that’s historically complete, but it’s quite a few.

I really enjoy these photo’s and update my wallpaper monthly. I’ve checked the Model Railroader web page and looked for an archive of past pictures. Anyone know of an archive of these photo’s?
