Has Detail Associates stopped making grab irons? I have been waiting for almost 6 months for passenger grab irons to finish a 15 car passenger train that I would like to finish in my life time. Every hobby site has to put them on back order.

Good question…I just e-mailed a large hobby shop about some Detail Associates L-shaped caboose grab irons and continue to find out that they have been backordered since February. I would love to know why they aren’t available or how to get them.
I am going to send them a letter of frustration. Ill let you know.
If you know the shape/measurements, all you need is some scale-size wire, and a pair of needle-nose pliers. Try it, it’s easier than it sounds.
Cheaper too…
