Hi all!
Here is my latest build:
A Diamond T water truck from a Woodland scenics white metal kit.
It was so many casting flaws, and the rear axle wasn’t in the kit…
But I’m pleased with the result!

Graffen,
Yeah, that’s one of the pit-falls, of a lot of of those, white metal and pewter castings. After drilling holes, filing and trying to smooth out parts and take molding lines out, You really don’t know what You missed, until You give it a lite coat of primer. Then You are faced with…should I fill in the flaws? Or let it go! I have had some Alloy forms kits that had a big gouge in the roof, at the rear of cab, that I just could not let go. So I used Evercoat…Automotive glazing putty, which worked great…took a couple of coats though, sanding inbetween. If I can I’ll use Squadron white putty also. They are just too small and You risk covering detail and making the patch job stand out…once painted.
All in all…You did a great job!! Little too old for My truck era though…I try to stay in the 30’s to 80’s era.
Take Care! [:D]

Speaking of Diamonds: How about a 1969 Diamond Reo…Reo took over Diamond T, sometime in the 50’s, I believe. It’s an Alloy forms cast metal. Tri-axle is by Leetown…remember them?
Nice work on the T (and the Rio). Would look good surrounded by other farm or construction equipment.
