Diaphragm for P1K C-Liners

I have an F1 AB set and a F2 AB set P2K. They come with diaphragms and they look really good. Without the Diaphragms the gap between the units is very wide and noticable. I just ordered a P1k NYC C-Liner AB set and I notice they have no Diaphragm. Is there a 3rd party company that makes a Diaphragm for this model. If there is more than one which would you rec? Thanks!

Anyone have info on this?

You might try the Walthers website or Tony’s.

Terry,

The Walther’s catalog only has them listed for the Stewart and Athearn locomotives by American Limited Models. The best thing to do is to contact Tim @ ENM again and ask him. He will most likely know the answer right off the top of his head.

Tom

If American Limited Models doesn’t already make a diaphram for these, you could easily adapt diaphrams they produce for other locomotives to work for your P1Ks.

Tks folks. I’ll contact Tim and see what he has to say. I am sure it would be worth it to modify one if they don’t make it specifically for the C-Liner.

I don’t think they would require much modification, if any. I think the only difference between them is the shims used to attach the diaphrams to the shell.

Well I talked to Tim and he concurs with you folks. American Limited makes a Diaphragm that can be adapted to the C-Liner.
TOM- Tim says the FT we ordered does not have them either but American Limited makes one specifically for the FT. So he is going to ship two sets with the FT when it goes out. If interested just let him know. Tks for the help folks.

Thanks for the update and the info, Terry! [:)] I knew Tim would have the answer. I’m not sure but I think that the quote Tim quoted me for the FT A-Bs included the diaphragms. I’ll have to double-check that. Thanks again!
